Triggerfish get their name from a trigger mechanism on their dorsal spine. They use it to anchor themselves onto rocks to prevent predators from snatching them up. These fish are very aggressive and territorial. They are even known to attack unsuspecting divers intruding into their territory.

Filefish are closely related to triggerfish. They get their name from their skin, which has a similar texture to sandpaper. Unlike a triggerfish spine, they cannot anchor themselves to rocks. Some filefish species are also known to prey on jellyfish.
In this book, The Great Triggerfish and Filefish Coloring Book, we give out blank outlines of the many triggerfish and filefish species for you to be awed, enjoy coloring them, and acknowledge how beautiful triggerfish and filefish are.
